Thank you for your email concerning Sunday opening hours. I agree that any potential proposal to extend opening hours is inappropriate. Staff who work in retail, and associated industries, are entitled to respite, especially in the current climate.

In this regard, you and your colleagues have my support in opposing these proposals.
